2009 Traveling League Rules
2010 Rules have not been provided

1.     The games for league play will be listed on your score sheet. Teams listed 1st on schedule will be HOME team.

2.     Throw lines are 8 ft,(96 in.) from face of board. Players must throw from behind the front edge of the foul line. You may not step over the foul line to throw your darts.

3.     Each player throws a maximum of 3 darts per turn. A player may choose to pass, or throw 1-3 of their darts. If a player chooses to throw less then 3 darts, they MUST PUSH THE PLAYER CHANGE BUTTON BEFORE PULLING THEIR DARTS, to avoid scoring a dart that has already been thrown. CAPTAINS BE ALERT… IF THIS HAPPENS THE PLAYER WHO SCORED THE POINTS BECAUSE OF NOT PUSHING THE BUTTON WILL FORFEIT THEIR NEXT TURN. If a STUCK SEGMENT occurs, a player from the other team must pull that dart for you.

4.     Every dart thrown counts as a throw, even if the dart does not score anything. No darts except accidently dropped darts may be thrown over. However if a dropped dart occurs while in a forward throwing motion, that dart may NOT be thrown again.

5.     It is the responsibility of the player throwing their darts to make sure the board is displaying the correct score prior to throwing. If a player throws on their opponents score & betters that score, the score stands. If all 3 darts were not thrown then the board gets changed to the correct score & the player may throw their remaining darts, not the ones thrown at the wrong score. If a player throws on his partners score, BOTH players automatically lose a turn. If the player goes out on his partners score, they LOSE the game. CHECK THE BOARD BEFORE YOU THROW YOUR DARTS.

6.     THE BOARD IS ALWAYS RIGHT. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS THERE TO BE ANY FINGER DARTS, (manually scoring a dart w/ your finger). The only time the board is not right is if THE WINNING DART is stuck in the segment, confirmed by both captains, & did not register. Then a player from the other team will finger that win. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.

7.     Teams consist of 4 players, which 1 must be a woman, you may have more then 1 woman. A woman shooter must have a woman sub, unless there are more then 1, than they may choose anyone OF EQUAL OR AS CLOSE TO EQUAL AS POSSIBLE SHOOTING ABILITY AS THEMSELVES. Please try to maintain this standard as this is a FUN league.

8.     Teams will play each other twice (home & away). Total team points determine position standings. A 15 game format will be used.

9.     Team sponsor fee is $25.00 per team & is due on the FIRST HOME GAME IN YOUR BAR. Team captain please try to do this if possible.

10.            Game time is 7:30 pm. A 15 min leeway will be given. After 15 minutes the other team starts the first game. If the other team has not shown by the end of that game, THEY FORFEIT ALL 15 GAMES. NO EXCEPTIONS.

11.            Subs may not play 3 wks in a row for the same person, as this makes them a permanent player. You may not have more then 2 subs per night. Subs may not play in the last 3 wks of play unless they are an established sub (have subbed for anyone else on the league that season). NO SUBS CAN BE USED THE LAST WEEK OF PLAY. IF THIS OCCURS YOU WILL FORFEIT ALL 15 GAMES, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. NO SUBS THE LAST WEEK OF PLAY.

12.            No player changes can be made after shooting starts for the night. Anyone changing players after play starts will forfeit ALL 15 games.

13.            UN-SPORTSMEN LIKE CONDUCT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ANY ABUSE OF BOARDS, OTHER PLAYERS, OR ANYTHING NOT BELONGING TO YOU, COULD RESULT IN EXPULSION FROM THE LEAGUE BY THE COMMITTEE.
